Candle Wax Report 1
Candle Wax Truths Revealed™

The Candle Report™ Part 1

What the Candle Making and Distribution Company's won't tell you.  This is important information that you should know before you sign up with any company to make or distribute candles for resale.

Introduction

Thank you for requesting the Free Candle Report.  My  name is Cherrie Fishlowitz and I started my Home Candle Business in January of 2005.  Over the course of my Candle Adventure I have been given so much misinformation about candles that I finally decided to do the research and find out the truth myself!

Chances are if you are also being given misinformation, the person or persons giving you that information have no idea that what they are telling you is inaccurate.  The Free Candle Report will dispel some of that misinformation and hopefully set you on the path to making educated decisions about your future within the candle distribution industry and point out the Most Important Question you should ask if you are considering making candles at home.

Industry

With the Candle Industry booming more and more people are jumping in headfirst and believing what they are told and not even posing the questions that should be asked.  Each and every day as I work on the internet, I come across more Websites that use misinformation about other companies and products in an attempt to build their own business and promote their candles.

Regardless of what product you market, or what company you represent you should not promote by bad mouthing another product or company.  This is the first step in building a campaign that exudes integrity and also building trust between you and your customer base as well as you and your prospect.

I will only address Wax candles and Candle companies, as this is where my expertise lies.  I know very little about the gel candles or the oil infusion candles that are currently on the market.

Get Ready!

This report will help you to make a firm and solid decision on which direction you should take as you pursue a career building a home-based business with Candles.  The information in this report is not information that most companies and certainly the majority of distributors would ever share with you.

Finally, you will have the facts and not only learn how to use the truth to make your own decision, but you can also use this information to accurately promote which ever candle or company you choose to represent.

Wax and Candle Facts

  • A "Stabalized" Soy Wax is not necessarily better than a paraffin candle of a Blended candle.
  • There are no "Soot Free" candles.  While some candles perform better than others anything with a flame is capable of producing soot.
  • Burn times cannot be guaranteed as they are affected by the environment they are burned in.  Burn time ranges are better and more believable.
  • Paraffin wax is a "Natural Wax".  Paraffin is a bi-product from processing crude oil.  Crude oil is a natural resource.  It is just not a Renewable resource.
  • There is no such thing as a water-soluble wax.  Soy and Veggie blends do clean up easily with warm soapy water, but that is not the same thing as being water-soluble.
  • Only candles made with Essential Oils can be called Aromatherapy candles.
  • Higher End candles (regardless of the type of wax they are made from) burn clean.
  • Low End candles (found at your local one stop shopping places) generally produce a lot of soot.
  • Soot can cause damage to your home in the form of stains on your walls and furniture.  This is why you should only burn high quality candles.
  • Different types of candles use different types of wax.  Container candles generally use a softer wax while Pillar candles need to be made with a harder wax in order to maintain their structure while burning.
  • All wax types can be made in varied degrees of hardness depending on the type of candle being made.

The Paraffin Factor

Paraffin has really taken a beating if you believe everything you read on the net.  While a paraffin candle isn't my candle of choice, it is still a high quality product that currently is responsible for the bulk of candle sales in North America.

More paraffin candles are purchased and used in homes and as gifts than any Soy or Veggie Blend candle.  The majority of the population doesn't even know that "other" Candles exist because they are perfectly happy with their paraffin candles.

Dispelling the Myth about Paraffin

If you have done even a little surfing on the net you have probably come across some Websites that tell you how harmful Paraffin Candles are.  They produce horrifying toxins that will compromise your health and the health of your family.

It's pretty scary to read something like that and no one wants to put their family at risk, especially if they can remove something from their home to alleviate the problem.  This tactic is used over and over by many distributors who simply want you to buy their candles or sign up for their program.

My problem is that these websites are only giving you part of the information.  Studies have been done and while paraffin is a bi-product of processing crude oil, the amount of toxins in a parafffin candle are pretty harmless to the average person.  The chemicals that are emitted from burning a paraffin candle in your home are minute.  However you also need to know that these minute amounts of chemicals could cause harm to your exotic pets.

Conclusion on Paraffin

Paraffin Candles are a safe product to use in your home.  If they weren't then our government or some other agency would have done something about it a very long time ago.  Unless you have a serious health condition or have exotic animals in your home, Paraffin candles are OK.
