- Choosing Your Sponsor in a Business with Candles Part 2
More important information to consider when shopping for a sponsor
Promotion
If you are thinking about the residual income aspect of a home-based
business, then how your sponsor promotes is very important.
Splash pages are huge in our industry and for those who are
looking to build a team there are some very important considerations
you must look at before getting a "pre-made" template type of splash
page from your potential sponsor or from your company.
Because a splash page is your first contact with the internet, you need
to make sure that there are not hundreds of other pages "Just Like
Yours" out there. If there are, then that page will never have
any traffic other than the traffic you send to it.
There is a very specific formula used to write copy for a splash page
and its very simple. Most sponsors who offer splash pages don't
have a clue about this advertising formula and simply provide too much
information in a format that is not comfortable for their prospects.
In my business, I encourage my team members to build their own
splash pages so that they are in 100% control of the content as well as
the keywords.
There is only one company that I recommend websites and splash pages. You can check them out here... Sealark Web Design
I have no monetary affiliation with Sealark Design. They offer a
unique variety of pages that you can customize, thereby giving you a
unique presence on the web. They also have the expertise of
working knowledge of our extrodinary industry.
Conclusion
Remember, the distributor with the biggest presence on the web isn't
necessarily the best choice for you. Neither is the top
distributor with that company, because they will probably leave the
training to someone else or charge you for training.
Just because someone has "a lot of web sites" doesn't mean they know
what they are doing. If you take a closer look at those
distributors it is possible you will find many errors on those sites
from the correct concentration of keywords to the actual formatting of
those pages.
Remember, when you find a site that offers "training materials" at a
price, you may want to think twice about that person as a sponsor.
A sponsor should not only be able to provide you with all the
training you need, but should also be happy to provide that support.
For those sites that you come across that sell training or offer their
affialiates to "those not on my team", be just as wary. Remember,
"A sponsor should not only be able to provide you with all the training
you need, but should also be happy to provide that support." When
you step outside of your team to offer items that you will earn money
on without providing the necessary "Team" support for those products or
services you could be stepping on the toes of someone else in your own
company and taking money out of their pocket.
Make sure they are knowledgeable in their industry and other area's of
the business that you are interested in. this will be key in your
ability to get your business up and running in a short time. They
should also be knowledgeable about the competition without bad mouthing
the competition.
Choose your sponsor wisely, if you do you will have a long time working
relationship with each other that will profit you both as well as the
people you bring into your business.
